Mentoring Programs

Mentoring ProgramsThe Peace Center for Forgiveness and Reconciliation believes in developing young people in the core areas of acceptance, tolerance, motivation, and inspiration.  In pursuit of this goal, the Center offers the following programs:

Sport for Peace Project

Sport for Peace ProjectOur Sport for Peace Project allows youth to participate in sporting activities such as soccer and basketball in a friendly and non threatening environment.  These activities not only help them improve their physical health and well-being but also encourage them to develop skills and attitudes of teamwork and cooperation.

Music for Peace Project

Music for Peace ProjectOur Music for Peace Project provides youth with opportunities to engage in creative musical activities that enhance their physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being and that lead to healing and reconciliation.

Poetry for Peace Project

Poetry for Peace ProjectOur Poetry for Peace Project helps youth learn the art of using rhythmical composition, written or spoken, to bring forth and communicate thoughts, feelings, and ideas that may be buried deep within their subconscious minds. The Poetry for Peace Project allows youth to capture the issues that they struggle with and offers them the chance to work through those issues to gain greater understanding of themselves and increased hope for the future.
